COOKING FOR HAITI - TENTH GRADES

Through the English project of Tenth Graders “Raise Money for Charity” the whole school could help a bit to the millions of people who are homeless, missing or lost their body parts in the catastrophe of Jan. 12.

On January (28th, 29th) and February (1st, 2nd), 10th grades “A” and “B” very excited in groups of 2 to 4, organized the sale of food like: fruit salad, cake, cookies, smoothies, waffles, sandwiches, juices, ice cream, chocolate skewers, etc. Everybody worked for the cause (authorities, teachers and students) they bought the food every day of this great event.

The winning group was the one who raised the biggest amount of money. The groups raised more than they had planned and this was very exciting.

The next week we’ll go to “Fundación Acción Social Caritas Quito-Ecuador”, to do the official handover of the money.
